The table plan, table numbers and place cards offered by Handmade by Gemma are uniquely designed to fit in the the theme and style of your wedding. Gemma will visit you at home or meet you at the venue to discuss designs. It is always helpful to bring along colour swatches, fabrics and patterns should you have any. Whether you are having traditional hearts or flowers or something a little different Gemma will accommodate it and create you the perfect table ware package. The package is very flexible and can be upgraded easily to accommodate personalised table favours etc.

Your wedding stationery is your communication between you and your guests. Its sole purpose is to notify your guests of the where, when, how and what’s of your wedding day.

Save the Date Cards
A lot of couples send out save the date cards about a year before their big day- registrars can only be booked one year in advance and without this booking your wedding date is not confirmed even if your venue has a deposit. At the time it is too early to really send out invitations as many details or indeed the guest list may change dramatically by the time the wedding day arrives. Save the date cards are typically only sent to guests that will definitely be invited, for example, family or close friends. Most couples avoid sending them to colleagues etc. as they may not be working at the same place come the wedding.

Invitations
The wedding invitations can be sent out as soon as you have a confirmed date, venue and guest list but typically are sent 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding. You can use either day invitations (For guest attending the ceremony, meal and evening reception) or evening invitations (For guests only invited to the evening reception).

Make sure your cards have included an RSVP date in your invitation to avoid people replying last minute. This date is important for your planning and you knowing numbers will help for things like caterers require final numbers.

Some couples include a simple reply card with their invitations to make it easy for the guests to reply swiftly. Additional dietary requirements etc. can always be detailed on here.

Order of Service/Order of the Day
The Order of Service is handed out usually at church ceremonies and includes hymns, prayers etc. However Order of the Day cards are becoming more popular at civil ceremonies and details the running order of the whole day.

Usually situated at the door of the reception room to direct guest to their table.
